Janette Mercer, 49, offered services as “Danielle” while evidence piled up against son Sean, 18. He was jailed for at least 22 years yesterday for shooting Rhys, 11. Janette sold sex on at least two occasions during the ten-week hearing at Liverpool Crown Court.
She went to a seedy vice den, called Elegant Ladies, around 11am on November 3. Only hours later a Sun investigator knocked on the steel door and was ushered inside by a blonde receptionist. She told him there was a ten-minute wait to see “Danielle” — the only tart there that day.
After 20 minutes the receptionist led our man to a room with a single bed covered with a towel. Janette entered wearing a low-cut top, leather mini-skirt, black suspenders and leather boots.
Asked what she offered, she said: “It’s £50 darling, £50 all in.” Our investigator handed over the money and Janette asked: “What do you want me to do?”

As he made his excuses and went to leave, she scowled: “You don’t do that — come in and pay 50 quid and wanna go.” Our man then left. Janette did not see her son sentenced yesterday as six accomplices were convicted of trying to help him cover
