Sorry Tom.. every girl for herself

The talented trio go head-to-head in the BBC1 ballroom hit’s closest-ever climax.

But with backstage anger lingering over last week’s voting fiasco, Rachel and Lisa are said to be determined to defeat Holby City hunk Tom, the bookies’ favourite.

A show source said: “On screen it’s all smiles, but in reality it’s all-out war on the dancefloor.

“The girls are desperate. They’ll be devastated if they don’t win.

Rachel and Lisa like Tom — but it’s every girl for themselves.”

Tom, 31, is odds-on to win the show with bookies quoting 10/11 — even though he was almost a certainty to go out last week.

All three contestants went through to the final after the votes blunder, which saw viewers urged to rescue Tom from the dance-off — when there was NO chance of saving him.

Millions voted at 15p a call as producers realised they were wasting their time. Bosses pledged refunds.

The insider said it was “very close” as to who would have joined Tom in the dance-off. BBC chiefs will tonight announce the result of last week’s vote to stave off any further problems.

Meanwhile Tom is said to fear a viewer backlash if he wins.

The source said: “He’s worried people will say the show was rigged.

“Whoever he’d faced in a dance-off, he’d surely have gone as the judges gave the girls higher scores.

“Tom’s well aware of that. Rachel and Lisa’s dance partners are also less than happy.”

Despite Tom’s status as favourite, former S Club 7 star Rachel, 30, has been all the rage with punters this week. Her odds are 11/8 with ex-model Lisa, 36, at 5/1.

Strictly grand final tonight, 6.40pm, BBC1
